We so enjoyed performing our concert "The Passing of the Year" last night. This was Ben's inaugural concert and what a success it was. Despite the bitter weather, it was lovely to see such an enthusiastic and good sized audience. Well done Ben for pulling off your first concert leading newCHOIR, despite giving us some extremely tricky music to master!
And after all our hard work and effort, we were treated to a little rendition by Ben and the Barber Shop Quartet he sings with.
We are excited to announce our Open Workshop on Saturday 15th January, 2022, where we will be using some of our Spring-term repertoire to dust off the New Year cobwebs and continue to build back our stamina after the lockdowns. Do join us to have a taste of singing in the choir!
We are also pleased to announce our programme for the Spring-term: “Songs of Springtime”, featuring music by Shearing, Britten, Pearsall, and Moeran. The theme of the programme looks at the relationship between nature and romance, and its inherent ties to the Springtime.
Our Spring concert will be on Saturday 26th March 2022 – Keep it in the diary, and we look forward to seeing you there.
